WAS NEW BRIGHTON, S.I. POTTER JOANNE SHULMAN expressing the emerging ethos of our time? Or simply recycling, with practical results? Whatever the motivation or goal, Shulman assembled these glazed coat-hooks (hat-hooks? scarf-hooks?) from the remnants of clay projects gone awry. Each coat/hat/scarf-hook is mounted on a block of wood approximately 3 1/2" square and 3/4" thick, with a hanging hook attached at the back.
