MEET MARIO
Meet Mario, whose smiling face and friendly attitude you don't forget. That smile and that friendliness are two of the reasons we do our local shopping at Pak's Grocery, in the Saint George Gardens Stores on the west side of Westervelt Avenue near Hamilton, where Mario's a counterman.
When I spotted Mario taking a break the other day, I knew I wanted him to be the focus of this second installment of WIT's new feature, Neighbors. Thanks, Mario.
Colors in the garden will soon become riotous, but for now everything's very demure, very discreet, and very virginally white. (Or pale pink--close enough.)
